You two make me feel like I’m sitting around the table after breakfast together. And, as Julie spoke about the initial apprehension about adding musicians to a writer’s retreat, I couldn’t help thinking about Bob Dylan winning the Nobel Prize for literature.
Just thinking about looking forward to this September makes me smile.
I’m so glad I pursued podcasting at OWSR V. I’m loving this medium that feels like we’re at the “table after breakfast” as you say. I’m smiling about the upcoming retreat, too.
Great podcast, Chip and Julie! I’m one of those first year and every year OWR participants who has no desire to publish. I love it for the intellectual stimulation like a kid loves summer camp for the fun. It gives me an incentive to keep writing even past the middle of my 80’s. Life is meant to be lived.

Fantastic retreat, great interview!
Looking forward to sitting in on one of your sessions again.

I love that comparison: OWSR is like summer camp for adults.
Omg! Julie highlighted one of my few Substack posts. Thanks!
Yes, it was great! Brought me back to my Bourbon County Fair Days.
