Thanks Amy! Part 2 is out now and with the Albright connection and some other angles I’ve yet to fully explore there might yet be more. Appreciate you reading along.

I’ve been past this church a number of times and have been intrigued by it. I’m so glad you stopped and shared this story with us.

This is such a great story. What a beautiful church. I think one of the many reasons I started going back to church after about a 30 year absence is because I really want to connect with people in the ways you describe. I’m so glad this little place is still thriving.

This church is in the CNN documentary The Road To Change. https://www.cnn.com/videos/tv/2020/04/20/road-to-change-america-climate-crisis-weir.cnn

Mary Swalla Holmes made it happen while she was working with me at the non-profit now known as Iowa Faith and Climate Network. Robert Leonard also gets credit because when CNN called to request filming one of our farmer conversations, Leonard said--"you have to say yes and it has to be in a picture perfect little rural church." The Spirit is a strong. She doesn't take no for an answer. And she delivers big time, especially when it's happening in a little church.
